Some of my readers have asked me how James and Susan, the main characters in The Necklace series really feel about each other, so I thought I’d give you their point of view.
James’s POV
I just don’t understand Susan. I know she’s American and all…and I can tell she comes from a family with money so she’s used to getting whatever she wants. I actually think she’s been quite spoilt! If she wants to be with me like she says she does, she needs to learn to trust me to know what’s best for her…and for us. After all, she’s just a wee bit of a lass and needs a man’s guiding hand. Why she doesn’t admit it and seems so stubborn about it is something that’s going to be changed…I just hope I don’t have to be too harsh about it. I do love her, ya know. I fell in love with her the minute I laid eyes on her, and I know she loves me too, but this independent woman bullshit has got to end.
Susan’s POV
I swear, that damn man is annoying! He thinks he can order me around like one of the Stepford wives or something, but he’s sadly mistaken as he will soon discover. I won’t kowtow to any man, especially one so arrogant and self-centered as James. Does his ego know no bounds? Yes, I love him; he’s been part of my heart and soul for as long as I can remember. And I have to admit that one look from those eyes of his and I melt like a wax candle on a hot day. It’s annoying as hell! But there are limits to how much crap I’ll take from him. I’m an independent woman, you know and he’s just going to have to accept it…
